Man charged for attacking Rexburg man with baseball bat

Ryan Scott Herren, 31, is being held in the Madison County Jail on felony charges of aggravated battery and malicious injury to property.

Rexburg Police said Herren confronted a 26-year-old man living at the Brenchley Apartment complex at 430 S. 3rd West in Rexburg at around 6 p.m. Friday.

According to reports, Herren got into an argument with the man, then struck then struck him in the head with a wooden bat. He then broke out a window of the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot.

The victim was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital for treatment of his head injuries.

Police located Herren on Saturday. He was being held in the Madison County Jail Monday pending arraignment on the felony charges.
