Rexburg Police make arrest on suspicious business man
The Rexburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help to gather information with regards to Joshua Black and/or Perimeter Construction LLC.
The police department asks that anyone who has had business interests both past and current, including both clients and employees, to contact them. This includes people who have given, fronted or loaned Black money.
According to Rexburg Police Detective Chuck Kunsaitis they have been investigating Black since March.
Kunsaitis said Black was hired to do work on a house and money was exchanged.
“Very little to no work was done, as the investigation started to unfold we learned that Mr. Black was purchasing tools from local builders. He made close to $10,000 purchases without authorization from the client,” Kunsaitis said.
Black was then fired, “We found that this was not an isolated incident. We feel that there have been many more people out there that have had a less than positive experience with Mr. Black.”
Black was charged on Wednesday for grand theft by Rexburg Police. Black is also a convicted felon, and was charged back in May for unlawful possession of a firearm.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Chuck Kunsaitis at the Rexburg Police Department at 359-3008.
