Update: Air quality alert extended in Custer and Lemhi Counties
Update 09/06/2016 12:30 pm: The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has extended the air quality alert for Custer and Lemhi Counties. Air quality is currently listed as good but the advisory will stay in place until at least Wednesday at noon.
Original Story: The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality alert for Custer and Lemhi Counties.
The alert will be in place from Friday, Sep. 2, until Monday, Sep. 5th when conditions in the county will be reevaluated.
The alert states that air quality in the affected areas is currently in the unhealthy category. The alert is especially important to people who are sensitive to air quality issues. During the alert period sensitive person are recommended to stay indoors.
