No decision yet in post conviction relief hearing for Christopher Tapp

Christopher Tapp was back in a Bonneville County Courtroom today for a hearing on the State’s motion for summary dismissal of the post-conviction relief request.

Judge Alan Stephens did not make a decision in Tapp case Tuesday. In Tuesday’s court hearing both sides argued for or against post-conviction relief for Christopher Tapp. Judge Stephens said he won’t be making a decision on the case today.

Nearly 20 years ago, police found Angie Dodge brutally murdered. About six months later, Tapp confessed to investigators that he had committed the crime.

Since Tapp’s confession, many have questioned if he really did it. Outside the courthouse Tuesday, groups of protestors gathered carrying signs that said “Free Christopher Tapp.”
