Traffic detours setup in downtown Idaho Falls

Traffic on some downtown Idaho Falls roads will be closed until Friday while crews work on installing curbs, gutters, and sidewalks outside the new fire station.

The left lane of Park Avenue between F Street and E Street is closed, as is the eastbound lane of E street between Shoup Avenue and Park Avenue. Signs are in place to direct motorists around the work.

The closures will be lifted between 5 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.

During all construction activities, watch for equipment and workers, follow all traffic signs and flaggers, and reduce speeds to posted limits. For questions, call Public Works at (208) 612-8250.
