UPDATE: Air quality advisories in Lemhi and Franklin counties lifted
Update: The air quality advisories for Lemhi County and Franklin County have been lifted.
Original story: The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has continued an Air Quality Advisory for Lemhi County, Idaho.
Outdoor open burning is prohibited while the ordinance is in effect. The ban will remain in effect until air quality has improved. Residential wood burning is allowed for heat and cooking.

Due to a stagnant air mass, The air quality has become Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups in Lemhi county including the city of Salmon. This Advisory will remain in effect until air quality has significantly improved. Those individuals who are sensitive to increased particulate or smoke levels are encouraged to limit prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity. An increase in symptoms of asthma and other respiratory ailments are likely.”
