JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military says an Israeli man has been killed in a shooting ambush in the northern West Bank. It says at least one Palestinian gunman opened fire at a car carrying Jewish seminary students out of a settlement outpost Thursday night. Israeli leaders have vowed to catch the attackers, and the army says it has beefed up troops and sent special forces to the area as part of the manhunt. The shooting took place near the outpost of Homesh, in the northern West Bank. Homesh was one of four West Bank settlements evacuated as part of Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005. But settlers have returned to the site and established an unauthorized outpost.
