Diaper drives collects over 2,000 diapers for good cause
While some people were focused on buying roses and chocolates on Valentines Day, others were focused on diapers.
Southeastern Idaho Public Health collected over 2,000 diapers on Tuesday. The diapers will go to families who are on a fixed income or who cannot otherwise afford them.
Southeastern Idaho Public Health said on average, for one month of diapers, the cost can be around $80. To make things more complicated, community support programs do not always pay for diapers. If a family is on food stamps or WIC, they cannot use it to buy diapers.
For other families on a tight budget, they have to decide between buying groceries or buying diapers. Southeastern Idaho Public Health will use these diapers to help support families in the area.
