Crews working to restore nearly 40 miles of pothole damage on streets

Now that the weather is starting to warm back up, city crews have been out repairing what the winter weather has done to the streets – and for some, your cars.

The city of Pocatello street department is working to re-pave 38 city street miles that sustained pothole damage over the winter.

This might mean portions of some streets will be closed while crews work, but the city said that should not last for more than a couple of hours at a time.

Starting on Tuesday, crews also began working to upgrade the storm/sewer system on East Pine and Yellowstone Avenue. The portion of Pine between Pershing and Yellowstone Ave. will be blocked-off, and part of Yellowstone Ave. will be down to one lane. This project is expected to last for one week.
