A FROST ADVISORY has been issued for the Snake River Plain. After a chilly start to your Wednesday, expect rapidly rising temps and plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. Warmest temps of the year ahead as we head into the end of the week. Thunderstorms return by the weekend. Wednesday, mostly sunny skies with much warmer temps as highs push into the mid and upper 60’s. Winds light and variable. Tonight, cool and clear with lows dropping back into the 30’s. Calm winds expected. Thursday, sunny and warm with temps climbing into the mid and upper 70’s. Winds light from the southwest at 5-15mph. Friday, very WARM with highs hitting the 80 degree mark. Mostly sunny during the first half of the day before turning partly cloudy late in the afternoon. The rise in warmer temperatures, will help speed up high elevation snow melt. This means higher flows in area rivers and streams. A flood warning continues for the Portneuf River, and will remain in effect for quite some time.
