Former Idaho GOP Chairman Steve Yates exploring run for Lt. Governor
In a brief press release Thursday, former Idaho GOP Chairman Steve Yates says he is more formally exploring a run for the office of Lt. Governor in Idaho.
In the release, Yates said he has filed the paperwork to declare a treasurer.
“This step is intended to ensure transparency as I continue to discuss this position with my family, friends, and Idahoans across the state,” Yates said. “Should I decide to run, a formal announcement will follow.”
