Cooler windy weather for the next few days as a colder mass of air moves in over the Northwest. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms for Saturday, with drier and slightly warmer weather for Mother’s Day. FLOOD WARNINGS and FLOOD WATCHES remain in effect for several of our area waterways especially across Central Idaho due to the rapid snowmelt from the mountains. Continue to monitor the situation if you live near a river or stream. Also, the Henry’s Fork near Rexburg is expected to reach flood stage this weekend. Saturday, Partly sunny with some morning showers and afternoon thunderstorms. Highs into the 50’s for the Snake River Plain. Brisk winds at 15-35mph. Sunday, cool and sunny for the Plain. Highs into the upper 50’s and lower 60’s. Monday, A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 60°.
