Pocatello starts to grow as more people move to the area

An increase in people are looking to buy homes in Pocatello, that is according to a realtor in Pocatello.

“In my 18 years of real estate, I have seen more people move to Pocatello recently than in the past. So we are seeing growth in the community. That is part of the reason why we have such a demand for new construction. We need more houses,” commented Greg Johnston, a realtor in Pocatello.

According to Johnston, there are a lot of different reasons why out of state residents choose to move to the area.

“They mention we have a good community. Our housing prices are very good,” Johnston said. “They are able to find businesses to lease if they wanted to open up a new business. So we have a lot of people moving here from out of state and they like what they see in Pocatello,” he added.

Johnston said businesses and companies like the FBI and the hospital create new jobs, which also helps bring more people into the area.
