Idaho Falls Power proposes rate increase

Idaho Falls Power is proposing a six percent rate increase after Bonneville Power Administration announced its rate increases.

Bonneville Power Administration provides most of the power to Idaho Falls Power. This is the second time in two years BPA has raised rates. Two years ago they increased rates nine percent.

The city council will hold a special meeting and public hearing on all proposed fee increases at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 in the City Council Chambers at the City Annex Building.
