Zoo Idaho military family appreciation day August 12

Zoo Idaho will be saying thanks to those who serve on Saturday, August 12 with its Ninth Annual Military Family Appreciation Day.

The zoo will be offering free admission to all those who are currently serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces and their families, a lunch and family friendly activities.

According to zoo officials, current and former members of the military will need to show proof of service such as a military identification card to receive free admission.

The event is sponsored by the Idaho State Military Division Family Programs and partner organizations American Legion, Farm Bureau and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
