Fair adds mini-hereford competition category

In a first for the Eastern Idaho State Fair this week, blue ribbons were handed out for mini-herefords. 19 of the small cattle were judged this year.

Mini-hereford owners say the small size and gentle disposition of the animals makes them desirable to raise. They are raised for judging, for meat, and as pets.
