UPDATE: Missing Rexburg man found dead

Update 11/04/17 4:50 p.m.: The Madison County Sheriff’s Office located the body of Darin Hammond.

Deputies said they found Hammond about 11 a.m. Saturday morning near the Moody area, east of Rexburg.

The Rexburg Police Department said Hammond was found inside his pickup truck and died of an apparent suicide.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Rexburg Police Department is asking for your assistance in locating Darin Hammond of Rexburg.

Officials report the last known contact with Hammond was in the afternoon of Wednesday, November 1, and he was last seen driving his red 1993 Toyota truck license plate 1M 78278 near Rexburg on his way home.
Police said his whereabouts are unknown.

Hammond is described as being 5 foot 10 inches and 200 pounds.

He is believed to be wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt and jeans.
