Local farmer killed in farm accident
Franklin County EMS and deputies were dispatched to 4323 East Glendale Road northeast of Preston Monday, Nov. 6.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found 67-year-old Dennis Webster laying on the ground in the barn.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reports Webster was manipulating some large bales of hay when two bales from above fell near or on him and caused him to fall and hit his head.
Webster was pronounced dead at the scene.
Franklin County Sheriff David Fryar said Webster was a lifelong resident of the Preston area and was a great neighbor and friend.
