Power outage affecting thousands of customers across southeast Idaho

Widespread power outages have been reported across much of southeastern Idaho.

Rocky Mountain Power said there is a transmission outage which is affecting nine substations. That affects 8,996 customers across Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. About 4,745 of those are Idaho customers.

It affects much of the following counties: Bear Lake, Rich, Lincoln and Uintah County.

According to Rocky Mountain Power, the specific affected areas are: Garden City, St. Charles, Cokeville, Montpelier, Chapman, Randolph, Woodruff and Indian Creek.

Rocky Mountain Power Crews are currently scouting the line and working on fixing the line. There is no estimated time for restoration yet.
