Two taken to hospital after being trapped in vehicle crash on US 20 near Ucon

UPDATE 5:15 p.m.: Idaho State Police reports around 12:10 p.m. 21-year-old Kurtis Baker of Ashton was driving east on US 20 in the right lane, and when he went to make a lane change, he thought he saw another vehicle in the left lane and swerved to avoid it.

ISP reports Baker then overcorrected, lost control of the vehicle, went through the median, crossed the westbound lanes of travel and back off the road, striking a light pole.

Baker and his juvenile passenger were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

UPDATE 2:15 p.m.: Idaho State Police reports the crash has been cleared and all lanes of U.S. 20 are open.

UPDATE 12:51 p.m.: Officials report two males have been transported to the hospital.

ORIGINAL 11/22/17 12:25 p.m.: Idaho State Police is currently on-scene of a crash westbound on U.S. 20 near milepost 315 which is the Ucon exit.
According to officials, two occupants are trapped inside the vehicle which is exposed to wires from a downed power pole.ISP reports the westbound lane is blocked as of 12:25 p.m. and the eastbound lanes are open.

Officials ask you use caution as emergency responders work.
