Local woman receives Human and Civil Rights Award
A local woman is being honored for a lifetime of service.
The City of Pocatello Human Relations Advisory Committee presented the Human and Civil Rights Award to Betty Moore at the Portneuf Valley Interfaith Fellowship’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.
Moore was nominated for her advocacy work on behalf of those with behavioral health and substance abuse disorders.
“For years, Betty has quietly went about improving lives in our city,” said Jamar Brown, Chair of the Human Relations Advisory Committee. “I would like to thank her for the many years she has devoted to making our community a better place.”
