SRINAGAR, India (AP) — Assailants have fatally shot a Hindu bank manager and a worker from India in Indian-controlled Kashmir. Police blamed the attacks on militants fighting against Indian rule of the disputed region. It was the third killing of a Hindu in the past three days in the Muslim-majority region, which has experienced a spate of targeted killings in recent months. Police say suspected militants earlier shot and killed a Hindu schoolteacher in the southern Kulgam district. Hindu government employees following that killing staged protests in several areas. They demanded that the government relocate them from Kashmir to safer areas in the Hindu-dominated Jammu region.
