Bonneville School District 93 investigating substitute teacher

Bonneville School District 93 is investigating a substitute teacher after complaints of making girls feel uncomfortable.

The incident happened yesterday at Rocky Mountain Middle School. A few girls alerted the school administration that they felt uncomfortable with the way the substitute interacted with them. The district immediately excused the teacher. He has been suspended from other substitute positions until the investigation is complete. The school administration says they have interviewed witnesses, but can’t release any more information due to the investigation.

“We’ll do a full investigation and take whatever appropriate action is necessary,” said Dr. Charles Shackett, superintendent of District 93. “Again, because it’s a personnel matter, it’s hard to share too much, but I think that the community needs to know that something did happen that made a few girls feel very uncomfortable and that we’re following through and we’ll take appropriate action as swiftly as we can.”

The district says the substitute had been subbing for them all year.
