Heat Advisory with SW winds
*HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 9 WEDNESDAY...
Hot conditions with highs of 92 to 98
today and 93 to 100 tomorrow . Mountains communities will be in the upper 80's for Jackson and Driggs and Island Park. 96 in Salmon, with caution to excessive heat, please, even though a heat advisory does not include Lemhi County.
Lows tonight remain warm upper 50's to 62 to 70 degrees for the valley.
The eastern Magic Valley, Arco Desert, Snake Plain, and
southern highlands, including but not limited to Shoshone,
Carey, Burley, American Falls, Aberdeen, Malad, Preston, Lava
Hot Springs, McCammon, Pocatello, Chubbuck, Fort Hall,
Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Ammon, Rigby, Rexburg, and St. Anthony are under a heat advisory through 9pm.
Please stay heat aware, conditions in vehicles can reach well above 100 degrees in afternoon heat. You should not leave anyone, thing, pet, etc. in vehicles due to dangerous heat. Hydrate, find shade, wear light colored clothing, and find air conditioning to get relief from heat in the afternoon hours, or earlier. Please check on neighbors and children playing frequently, and use a 70 spf sunscreen and reapply as necessary today. Be careful around water, canals, and playing in the heat. We care about you.
