Police locate Idaho Falls woman

UPDATE 9/6/18 3:00 p.m.: Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies have made contact with Brandy Wertz and are no longer needing the public’s assistance in locating her.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office thanks everyone for their help.

UPDATE 9/6/18 10:00 a.m.: The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said thanks to tips from the public, they have received information that Brandy Wertz boarded a Greyhound bus for Portland earlier this week after she was reported as missing.

Law enforcement has still not made contact with Wertz to confirm she is safe.

Officials are still working with law enforcement agencies between Idaho Falls and Portland to try and locate her.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office thanks everyone for their tips and assistance in this case.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating and checking the welfare of a 40-year-old Idaho Falls woman.

Brandy Wertz was reported as missing by friends who were concerned for her well being on September 2.

Deputies have been attempting to locate her through friends and family and believe she is in the Idaho Falls area but have not had direct contact with her to confirm she is ok.

The sheriff’s office said they do not know if Wertz is using a vehicle or what her current clothing description is at this time.

If you’ve seen Wertz or know of her whereabouts, call dispatch at 208-529-1200 and ask to speak to a deputy.
