Idaho Falls celebrates Pride

The Idaho Falls community celebrated LGBTQ pride with a festival along the Greenbelt today.

Festival goers donned rainbow flags with pride at the event. There was music, dancing, booths and many fun activities. There was also a youth forum to give young LGBTQ youth some advice. Organizers say the event is for everyone in the community to come together.

“It’s risky to come out in our communities,” said Lyn Stangland, who is on the Pride committee. “And fortunately having a pride festival gives everybody an opportunity to get together and celebrate the fact that we love everybody not just LGBT, but everybody.”

Events will wrap up tonight with a comedy drag show at 7:30 at the old Cal Ranch building.
