Rose Road interchange construction to begin Monday
Idaho Transportation Department contractors will begin moving large concrete structures into the median of the Rose Road Interchange beginning Monday, weather permitting.
Most of the work will be accomplished on Interstate 15 between midnight and 5:30 a.m. from January 7-11. ITD said a pilot car will be used to slow traffic through the area.
Motorists should expect 15-minute delays while the sections are moved. A message board will alert southbound travelers of traffic conditions.
It is part of a year-long project to reconstruct the interchange at Rose Road on I-15. The work includes widening the Rose Road overpass and increasing its vertical clearance. It will also reconfigure and lengthen interchange ramps and replace two canal structures. The total $10.8 million project should be complete by late 2019.
