How you can support Idaho Falls TSA employees
With the Government shutdown, airport TSA members everywhere in the US have been working without pay. Community members have been wanting to show their appreciation, but each airport has different rules on how you can do that. TSA members at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport have been working without pay and have not received at least two paychecks since the government shutdown. A lot of community members are aware of this and want to give back. Unfortunately TSA members, as much as they would like to, they are unable to accept any form of contribution directly. If you really want to give your gift to these people there are alternative ways to go about it. Rick Cloutier, Idaho Falls Airport Director says, “If they’d like to donate, the gifts need to go to the TSA manager, he farms it out evenly to all the affected employees.” This is strictly temporary. Once the government shutdown is over the airport will no longer be accepting donations. This Saturday the Idaho Falls Food Basket is working with Idaho Falls Airport to hand out non-perishable meals to all government employees.
