Windy, sunny for Tuesday, more snow Wednesday

Scattered snow showers this evening and overnight. Gusty winds will persist overnight and into Tuesday. However, a brief ridge of high pressure is working in before another round of snow moves in for Wednesday.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of snow with areas of blowing snow. Cloudy, with a low near 20° for the Snake River Plain. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday: Windy with blowing snow before. Partly sunny, with a high into the mid 30’s. South wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday: Afternoon snow with highs into the mid 30’s. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Thursday: Rain and snow likely with highs into the lower 30’s Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
