NWS issues Winter Weather Advisory for Wednesday

A Winter storm is arriving late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning for Eastern Idaho. The National Weather Service in Pocatello, has issued a Winter Weather Advisory. The NWS says, “The next storm system to impact East Idaho arrives tonight, spreading snow across the region into the day Wednesday. Your commute Wednesday morning may be impacted. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the Stanley and Sun Valley areas, as well as nearly all of the Snake River Plain.”

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS

EVENING TO 11 PM MST WEDNESDAY…

* WHAT…Snow expected. Plan on slippery road conditions,

including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Total snow

accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected.

* WHERE…The eastern Magic Valley and Snake River plain from

Burley to Pocatello and north to Saint Anthony.

* WHEN…From 11 PM this evening to 11 PM MST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for reduced visibilities and a

slower and more difficult Wednesday morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will

cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered

roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
