Busy intersection to get new traffic signals

The city of Ammon has won a 2019 Local Strategic Initiatives grant to construct new traffic signals and other improvements at the intersection of Sunnyside and Ammon Road.

The $697,000 grant was announced by the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council Monday.

Mayor Sean Coletti said the construction work will be completed this year.

“This is a very important and extremely busy intersection in our community,” said Mayor Coletti. “We are pleased that the efforts of so many in the City to obtain this funding have paid off, and look forward to constructing this much needed traffic improvement.”
