City of Pocatello seeks to hire new airport manager

The City of Pocatello is currently searching for a new airport manager in the wake of Benjamin West’s resignation on March 4.

West was hired as the airport’s manager in July of 2018.

According to City of Pocatello PIO Logan McDougall, the resignation isn’t expected to have a big impact.

“Right now, Kristy Heinz, the management assistant, and Alan Evans, the maintenance supervisor, they’re picking up duties as needed to keep the airport running day to day,” McDougall explained. “There is not expected to be any impact with his resignation.”

McDougall said that while the city has no timeline to hire a replacement, officials are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
