Man arrested for felony probation warrant after fleeing deputies

Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies and Idaho Probation and Parole investigated a tip that a subject wanted for a felony probation violation was hiding at a residence on the 800 block on Bergeson Dr. in Bonneville County Monday around 2:30 p.m.

Deputies made contact with the resident and observed a male matching the description of 21-year-old Tristen T. Rodriguez run out the back door.

Rodriguez refused deputies commands to stop and ran a short distance before being apprehended and taken into custody.

As deputies made contact with Rodriguez, he provided a false name and continued to resist as he was placed in handcuffs and secured in a patrol car.

Inside the residence, deputies and probation officers located evidence of drug use and drug paraphernalia.

Rodriguez was transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked on the felony probation violation warrant along with a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines and new misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and providing false information to an officer.

No other arrests were made at the home, and further charges are pending at this time.
