Finnegan’s Body Recovered In Snake River

Bonneville County Deputies recovered the body of 46-year-old David Finnegan from the Snake River near the 65th South bridge Sunday afternoon. Finnegan was reported missing and believed to have drowned while trying to rescue his two dogs near Gem Lake on Dec. 9 of last year.

Police said David Finnegan took his dogs for a walk and never came home. They said he was last seen at Gem Lake Marina along the Snake River.

Authorities said they don’t suspect foul play, but believe this was a horrible accident.
