Pocatello-Chubbuck District Chooses Replacement On School Board
The Pocatello-Chubbuck District School Board filled a position Tuesday that was left vacant by a death.
Frank Rash served on the board for five years before passing away in February. After conducting interviews this morning, the school board chose Jim Facer to fill the empty seat. Facer was chosen in part because board members said he would bring a similar attitude to the board as Rash.
“Frank was a very quiet thoughtful board member who made really good decisions, after considering the consequences of those decisions,? said district spokeswoman Shelley Allen. ?We feel Jim is a similar way.”
The district said Facer’s experience as a military leader and as a Boy Scout volunteer will help him as a member of the board.
