Man Charged With Attempted Strangulation

Idaho Falls police arrested Israel Franco-Francisco, 21, early Sunday morning on a charge of attempted strangulation.

According to reports, police were dispatched to the 700 block of Saturn around 1:20 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. It was reported that Franco-Francisco was banging on the residence door attempting to gain entry.

The alleged victim also said Franco-Francisco grabbed her by the neck and attempted to strangle her.

Franco-Francisco fled from the residence prior to officers arriving, police said. He was later found.

He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
