‘Outdoor Idaho’ Segment Premieres In Idaho Falls

An Idaho Public Television premiere in Idaho Falls on Thursday night attracted attention from outdoor enthusiasts, while helping protect and conserve local lands.

Crowds filled the Colonial Theatre lobby in anticipation of the one-hour story about Gem State geology, from sand dunes and rivers to the highest peaks.

“Outdoor Idaho” host Bruce Reichert said Idaho has an amazing landscape and that it was only appropriate that proceeds from each $15 ticket be donated to the Teton Regional Land Trust.

“You have things going on here in the geologic sense that other states can only wish they had,” said Reichert.

“It’s important to recognize the Land Trust helps keep open spaces open and working farms and ranches open,” said Tim Reynolds, from the Land Trust. “We help preserve a lifestyle that we are so fond of in southeastern Idaho.”

Reichert said the Idaho National Laboratory was one of the founders of the show and asked that it premiere in eastern Idaho, where many people are passionate about the outdoors.
