Grace man killed in Caribou County crash

A Grace man was killed in a two car crash at the intersection of State Highway 34 and Fish Hatchery Road in Caribou County at 10:15 pm Wednesday. Idaho State Police said 49 year old Jon Sorensen’s Nissan Juke was struck from behind while stopped at the intersection and attempting a left turn onto Fish Hatchery Road. He died at the scene. A passenger in Sorensen’s car, Delilah Bitton, 51, of Grace was transported by ambulance to Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, was identified as 46 year old Ann Sorenson of Downey. She was also transported by ambulance to Caribou Memorial.

Idaho State Police investigators said alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.
