Driggs coffee house in regional competition
A Driggs coffeehouse has been selected as one of eight western-state semi-finalists in the inaugural Da Vinci GourmetAmerica’s Best Coffeehouse competition. Pendl’s Bakery and Caf was selected second behind Klatch Coffee of San Dimas, California after a field qualification that included a secret shopper evaluation and popular votes.
Pendl’s will compete for the title at Coffee Fest Seattle September 21st through the 23rd. Each coffee house will be represented by a team of three who will battle it out live before 30 judges. First place will receive a $2,500 cash award and a trophy.
The remaining six includes Tierra Mia Coffee Co. of Huntington, California, Dog River Coffee of Hood River, Oregon, Brew Coffee Bar of Santa Monica, California, Blue Steele Coffee Company of Tacoma, Washington, The Woods Coffee of Bellingham, Washington, and Heart Coffee Roasters of Portland, Oregon.
Coffeefest is an industry trade show catering to the specialty coffee and gourmet tea industries.
