Crash temporarily blocks road near Inkom

At 5 p.m. on Saturday, Idaho State Police investigated a crash on Rapid Creek Road in Bannock County near Inkom.

James Tullis, 84,of Pocatello, was traveling northbound and pulled over to attempt to make a u-turn on Rapid Creek Road in a 2005 Honda Element, police said.

Kallie Sears, 18,of Preston was traveling northbound on Rapid Creek Road in a 1991 Toyota Corolla whenshecollided with Tullis, police said.

Sears and passengers in theCorolla were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello with unknown injuries.

The names are not being released at this time.

It is unknown if the occupants of the Corolla were wearing seat belts.

The occupants of the Honda Element were wearing their seat belts and were not injured. The road was blocked for approximately one-and-a-half hours as troopers investigatedthe crash.
