Bingham Memorial Hospital presents check to county
Bingham County got its payback Friday from Bingham Memorial Hospital.
The hospital presented a check worth $356,628.33, as part of an agreement struck with the county in 2007, when Bingham Memorial became a private hospital.
Hospital board members, along with CEO Louis Kraml, were on hand to present the check to County Commissioner Cleone Jolley.
The agreement states that the hospital has to pay Bingham County $150,000, plus the lesser of $150,000 or five percent of the previous year’s revenue. The rest of the money on the check comes from indigent care provided by Bingham County, which the hospital had to reimburse.
