Man’s body found in jail parking lot

The body of a 22-year-old Idaho Falls man was found in the driver’s seat of a parked car at the Bonneville County Jail on Monday night.

Bonneville County authorities say there was no indication of foul play.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said the man’s parents reported he had suffered a seizure at the Utah Avenue Walmart store Friday. He was treated on the scene. On Saturday, the man said he could not find his truck and borrowed his parents’ car to look for it. They filed a missing persons report Sunday.

A Bonneville County deputy spotted the car in the jail parking lot Monday night and found the man’s body inside. An ambulance was called, but he was declared dead in the parking lot. An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday.

Idaho Falls Police were continuing the investigation Tuesday.
