Police: Teens responsible for Compass Academy burglary

Police say three teenagers were responsible for the burglary and vandalism incident that occurred at Compass Academy earlier this month.

Idaho Falls police announced Tuesday that they arrested Tyler George Roger Colgrove, 18, on charges of burglary and felony malicious injury to property on Sept. 19. They said Colgrove did not act alone — two 15-year-old girls were referred to juvenile court on charges of burglary and felony malicious injury to property.

Police said the three broke into the school at the 800 block of Garfield, on Sept. 7. They caused about $18,000 in damage as they damaged windows and computer equipment and drove a motorized scissor lift through the school, officers said.
