Henderson Fire discovered on Greys River Ranger District

A new forest fire was spotted about 1:30 pm Friday about seven miles west of Bedford, Wyoming near Virginia Peak. The Bridger Teton National Forest said the Henderson Fire was about a quarter acre in size and burning in light timber. The cause of the fire is undetermined.

Greys River Ranger District officials said there was smoke and some flames visible due to torching, or burning of trees from the ground up. One helicopter and additional fire crews were responding to the fire.

Fire danger on the Bridger Teton is very high and partial fire restrictions are in place.
