The Day Before Christmas In Idaho Falls

‘Twas the day before Christmas
And all through the town,
Not one empty parking space could even be found.

Last-minute shoppers driving in by the ton,
Chronic procrastinators, from far and near:
“We’re last-minute shoppers every year.”

Excuses, excuses,
Like schedules, packed fat.
“Lots of work and school and dance recitals and all that.”

But still, there were plenty of gifts to be had.
In the spirit of Christmas,
“It’s not too bad”

The shoppers were friendly,
No pushing or shoving.
Just shows this community is one full of loving.

“Chaos big time,” but Merry Christmas for all.
