Possible lead in stolen Salvation Army kettles

A possible lead has surfaced in the case of the donation kettles stolen from the Salvation Army in Pocatello.

On Sunday morning, burglars broke a window to gain entrance to the Salvation Army building on Fourth Avenue. Sixteen of the Salvation Army’s 18 kettles were taken, all full of money, most of it uncounted.

Later, said Brenda Ames of the Salvation Army, “We did receive a voicemail, it is sketchy, but apparently it will be a person or persons of interest. The message simply said ‘If you want to recover your kettles, go to such-and-such a place.'”

If you know anything about this burglary, call the Pocatello Police Department at (208) 234-6100.
