Wapello Elementary closed; power restored

Kids at Wapello Elementary School are getting an extended vacation after school was canceled Wednesday due to a power outage.

According to Idaho Power, 852 people were without power as of 7:25 a.m. Power was restored to that area of Blackfoot around 9 a.m.

Idaho Power Company said the cause of the outage was a downed wire.
