Lights out in Ashton again

Power is out in Ashton for the second time in as many days.

According to Rocky Mountain Power, the outage is due to a “transmission interruption” and will be fixed by 8:30 p.m. As of 4:45 p.m., RMP said it had crews working to get the lights back on.

The utility said 1,187 customers were without power Tuesday.

On Monday, power was out for Rocky Mountain Power customers from Ashton to Rexburg while the area was under subzero temperatures. On Tuesday evening, temperatures were around 10 degrees.
