Bonneville deputies uncover details in deadly shooting

Bonneville County deputies are piecing together how Saturday’s murder happened.

Two days after the deadly shooting, deputies were doing their final sweep for evidence.

“We recovered the gun and all the casings we needed,” said Sgt. Detective Karl Noah. “We’re trying to put the bigger pieces, but we’re comfortable that we got what we needed to get.”

Noah said he and fellow investigators now have a better idea of the moments leading up to the death of 21-year-old Kristy Aschliman.

According to investigators, Aschliman was riding in a car with two men, when that car veered off the road. At that point, everyone in the car got out and took off running in different directions.

That’s when deputies said those deadly shots were fired.

Adan Arroyo, 22, is accused of firing from two to five shots. He’s being charged with murder and held without bond.

Although the CodeRED alert sent out to the public said police were looking for two people in connection to the shooting, the other man in the car is not considered a suspect.

Meanwhile, the next step is to determine any sort of relationship between Aschliman and Arroyo.

“We’ve been told they were together in some places before they got here. We’re gonna go to those places and obtain the video,” said Noah.

And then after that, finding justice for a family now missing a loved one.

Investigators working different angles of this case were going to meet Tuesday morning to piece together all of the information they’ve gathered so far.
