Pingree man sentenced to 40 months in prison
A Pingree man has been sentenced to 40 months in prison, four years of supervised release and a $1,000 fine on a meth-related charge.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 26-year-old Ryan Wasia appeared before US District Judge Lyn Winmill in Pocatello Tuesday after pleading guilty last August to charges of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine.
According to a plea agreement April 4, Wasia was stopped in a vehicle just outside a Fort Hall residence. Police recovered 127 grams of methamphetamine. In a later interview,Wasia admitted the drug was his and that he had just sold some of it to a person in the residence.
The case was investigated by Idaho State Police and Fort Hall Police.
